6th Annual St. James 5K Run
Johnson City, New York
October 23, 2005

A heartfelt thanks to all the TCRC'ers who helped make the 6th annual St. James 5k Run/Walk this past Sunday such a successful event. We had a record turnout in which cold, windy weather and a brief rain shower brought out more runners than walkers for the first time. 107 finishers in the 5k race (from ages 8 through 74) and just about 100 walkers in the 2.5k walk.

Congratulations to Annette Acuff, who was not only the first Female to finish, but 2nd Overall in 18:07, behind George Young, 24, from the Syracuse area (Pennellville). Quite a few young runners competed in the 5k--in fact, there were 36 kids under the age of 18, and the 2nd Female Overall was Kelsey Myette, 15 (22:33) and 3rd Male Overall was Anthony Gaetani, 14 (18:21) of Binghamton.
