January Freeze 10K Series
Saturday, January 6, 13, 20, 27 with Rain/Snow date of Feb. 3. (Feb 3 will only be used if one of the other dates is cancelled). Races to be held at Otsiningo Park, Binghamton, NY. Races start at 10:00 AM with race day registration starting at 9:30 AM. No pre-registration. Fee: free to TCRC members or $10 for non-members to cover all four races. Refreshments will be provided.

The course is a paved 2 mile loop in the park. USAT&F Certified 10K, NY99065AM. The race starts at the rest area (with heated rest rooms) closest to I 81. A Google Map to Otsiningo Park is available. Enter from Bevier Street and proceed on the driveway past the northern end of the park. Make a right turn to the northern-most building (past the large white area near I-81 in Google Map) where registration is held.

Contact Tom Hamlin, phone 570-663-2030. Winners each week (Men & Women) will receive an award (no duplication of weekly awards) and there will be overall awards at the end of the series. To be eligble for the overall award, you must participate in a minimum of 3 races.

An early start at 9:30 is available for those expecting to run much slower than the main group of participants.


FLRC Indoor Track Meets
Sunday, Jan. 7. Held on the eight-lane, 200-meter track in Barton Hall on the Cornell University campus. No preregistration; sign up each meet, beginning at 8:15 am. Meet-day registration closes at 9:15 am and must be completed by that time. Meet runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Events: 800 meters, 55 meters (featured event), 3000 meters, 1500 meters (time trial for Hartshorne Mile; also includes one race walk heat), and 400-200-200-800 meter medley relay. 24 Hours of Prompton Snowshoe Race/Walk
Saturday/Sunday, January 13-14 at Prompton Dam Project in Prompton, PA. The race will run from 12 noon on Saturday until 12 noon on Sunday with the objective of completing as many laps as possible. 40th Annual Hartshorne Memorial Masters Mile
Saturday, January 20. Barton Hall, Cornell University. Time to be announced. Open to masters men and women ages 40 and above, and sub-masters women ages 30 to 39. There are several mile heats, including the elite invitational mile for men and women. This event runs in conjunction with a Cornell invitational meet. Frozen Falcon Festival

Smithville Day 5K Run and Walk
