Q: Tell me a little bit about yourself.
A: I am originally from Michigan but have lived in NY for the last 25ish years, aside from a stint in LA and a very brief residence in Dallas.
_
Q: How long have you been running and how did you get started?
A: I started running in 7th grade so circa 1980.
_
Q: Would you rather run with a group or alone? Trails or road?
A: Depends. I very much look forward to Sunday longs runs with my loves but am happy to run solo during the week. I am way too clumsy for trails.
_
Q: What is your favorite distance or race or running gear?
A: My Favorite distance is the 10 miler. As for running gear, Tang. Not joking. It is my favorite fuel.
_
Q: What's the most rewarding thing about running and how do you stay motivated when you don’t want to run?
A: For me, the most rewarding thing about running is the feeling of accomplishment after a good, hard effort. As for motivation, I always want to run. When you are as old as me, you don’t take healthy running days for granted :)
_
Q: What is your favorite running memory and any goals for the future?
A: My Favorite running memory is seeing the finish line of my first marathon. I will never forget that feeling of euphoria and intense relief. My goal for the future is just to Stay healthy.

Q: Who inspires you most?
A: Joan Benoit. Watching her shatter the glass ceiling in 1984 is one of my most favorite moments.
_
Q: What advice do you have for new runners?
A: Get yourself a coach (or join a gym or follow a training plan). Training smart and always reaching are keys to staying healthy and motivated.
