TCRC Youth Shoe Program
The Triple Cities Runners Club is pleased to announce the formation of a Youth Running Shoe Program. The goal of this program is to provide local middle school and high school runners who have a financial need with the proper footwear to participate in cross country or track.
Eligibility is determined by the youth’s coach. The coach may nominate a youth runner who needs proper footwear but may not have the financial ability to obtain it.
The referral process involves a simple email to a TCRC board member stating the athlete’s name; parent(s) or guardian(s) name; a phone number or email address for the family and what is needed (training shoes, racing flats or spikes). This information will be distributed to board members only, and the coach will be notified of the board’s decision in a timely manner.
This program is financially sponsored by the Triple Cities Runners Club, with Confluence Running providing the shoes at cost. Please be sure to patronize Confluence Running and thank them for their support of youth programs in our area.
